VIBO Migration Guide

AuthorBy Adam on Sep 6, 2025

SongBoard is a great VIBO alternative, because it's low cost (either free or $49.99/mo) and has all of the essential features DJs need to plan events with their hosts.

Because of this, we often get people asking: how can I move my events from VIBO to SongBoard?

In this guide, I'll go over how you can use the VIBO migration tool in SongBoard to automatically import your events from VIBO.

How to Import Events from VIBO into SongBoard

You can import events from VIBO into SongBoard by logging in to SongBoard as an admin, and navigating to the Events page.

On the top right of the page, you'll see a 3 dot menu, click it, and select the "Import from VIBO" option.

Then, you'll see a dialog appear that includes instructions on how to import events from VIBO:

Step 1: Export Your VIBO Event to a PDF

The first step is to login to VIBO and export the event to a PDF. Make sure to include all sections you would like to import into SongBoard.

Here's a guide from VIBO on how you can export your event to PDF.

Then head back to SongBoard, and click "Next" to reach the PDF upload step, and upload your event's PDF there:

Click "Next" again to go to the next step.

Step 2: Export VIBO Event's Songs to Spotify (Optional)

If you don't want to import any song selections from this event, you can simply skip this step.

If you'd like to import the songs from the event into SongBoard from VIBO, you'll need to first export all songs from the event in VIBO to a public Spotify playlist.

Then back in SongBoard, paste a link to the Spotify playlist, and click "Next".

Step 3: Import the Event and Double Check It

From there, you can click "Import" and SongBoard will take the PDF and Spotify playlist and create a SongBoard event from it. This may take some time (several minutes), but you don't have to wait for it to complete. The migration process will continue running even if you close the migration tool.

So if you have a bunch of events to import, go ahead and kick off several event imports at once, and they'll be done before you know it.

ℹ️ Always make sure to double check that all information from your event was imported properly including times, card names, and song selections. The VIBO migration tool can get some details wrong, so it is important to review the event.

Conclusion

Moving from one platform to another manually can be a lot of work, but our VIBO migration tool makes switching from VIBO to SongBoard easy.
